McMondays

Why do I feel so dirty every time I give in and pick up McDonald’s? Must be a personality disorder kind of thing. I’m pretty sure I’ve sworn off McDonald’s at least five or six times in the last ten years, and for some reason, I still get drawn back for food somehow. It’s not a “fat” issue with me – I just know they don’t prepare their food well.

Currently eating a Big Breakfast Meal with a small orange juice. It doesn’t taste bad, but I’m sure this is infecting me with something.

The Ultimate Home Remedy

-Eating hot chicken noodle soup for breakfast, lunch, and supper
-Sleeping in several hours
-Taking at least five hot steaming 20-minute showers
-Drinking out of two massive water bottles every five minutes and keeping them refilled as necessary.
-An all-day Gummi Bears marathon
-Making a huge pot of late night spaghetti made with tomato alfredo, broccoli, maple sausage, turkey bacon, and mushroom and then eating it while watching “Super Friends.”
-Taking a ton of DayQuil and NyQuil as recommended.
-Reading a book about happy people.
-Downloading illegal country music and sending it to minors over MSN.

I did all that yesterday, and either one or a mixture of all of these has just helped me take down one of the single worst head colds I’ve ever woken up with in less than 24 hours. Seriously, my co-workers even seem to be suspicious as to whether I was even sick at all. My voice is back, my sinuses are cleared, and I even got a good night’s sleep for once.
