My friend Brittany pointed me at a possibly new favorite show. It’s a BBC series that aired back in 2002 as a bunch of ten-minute shorts called “Look Around You,” where they spoof 80′s-style educational videos about science and whatnot. For the first couple minutes, I was convinced that this was a real video back then. And then I saw the jar of wafers on the shelf.
Anyhow, this particular video was killing me with laughter by the end, so check it out if British comedy is your thing.
All these years of watching the same reruns and seeing the same clips over and over again, and not once did I ever realize that we kept catching snippets of the same McBain movie. “Simpsons,” you’re the gift that keeps on giving.
I think I’ve found a new holiday tradition alongside watching “A Charlie Brown Christmas” and “It’s a Wonderful Life” – watching Team Four-Star’s new special: “Christmas Tree of Might.” Something about it just keeps me laughing while filling me with Christmas cheer. Also, figgy pudding FTW.
I really wish I had the time, energy, and resources to devote to my Halloween costumes that my friend Michaela has. I mean, I saw someone dressed up as a Domokun as a Halloween party last night, and it’s still nothing compared to what she has assembled in her little apartment. Doctor Who fans, prepare to worship your new Dalek overlord… Schroedinger!
I would really love to see a video of her costume in action, because I can’t imagine the trouble she went through to travel around in that. Hit the above link to visit her site and read more about it.
Ack! Double geek-out! Directly behind the Dalek is a picture of a fictional marine animal I drew for her. Now I feel involved!
I’ve seen plenty of videos where one person will compose an entire song by editing together several videos of themselves playing each instrument. But this marks the first time I’ve ever seen the same thing done with them playing multiple video games. The difficulty in creating this has to rank right up there with firing rockets into space.
I couldn’t even begin to wrap my mind around how many hours of bloopers came out of making this video. These guys have outdone their old treadmill routine.
I was surprised at how for the last few years, Neil Cicierega never cashed in on his Potter Puppet Pal fame, then just yesterday, after years of barely giving the public the Puppet Pals they demand, he opens an exclusive channel for it. These episodes look to be a lot shorter and more frequent, so this is either an awesome thing, or the first step towards Potter Puppet Pals losing their edge, selling out, and ending up another Smosh. In any case, the new videos still make me laugh, so if you’re a fan, you can subscribe here.
I was watching this little gem from 2003 with Brittany last weekend and figured I should re-post it for kicks. The bit with the recycling bin gets me every time.
Courtesy of poster Jeyradan, here is a wonderful video of a cat slapping another cat. This is a very accurate recreation of what Bolt’s life has been like ever since he moved in with two other cats.
